    Dear ghalley,

    I brief you my own experience. i am aged 42, ht :5 7,wt:100. i had maintained a bp ( 140/93) avg.
There are two factors contributing to the bp. The salt intake and exercise. i was prescribed telmestran 40 mg & amplopine 2.5 mg in addition to rosuvas ( cholestrol ).

i used them for a year and found some good results..my bp was hanging around ( 125-130/80-85 ).

of late i have started cardio exercises

    20 mts walk ( 10% inclination- 5.5-6.5 kmph speed )
    5 minutes ( stepper )
    5-10 min – cycling..for a distance of 3 kms.

next 45 minutes normal aerobic exercises -

overall cal burtn appx _700 cal /day

i continued 7/7 …i found that my bp coming down to 110/70…so again i went to cardiologist and went thru all tests,,,incl tmt..

doctor suggested me to stop medicines…

so my advise…first you start good amount of physical exercise…low take of salt ( per day 1150 mg only )

record your bp 2-3 times a day..observe for two months…went for the medical check up and then decide.

Hi Rahul. It sounds like you are not eating enough. Try to increase the amount of calories you eat each day and eat fresh. Fruits, meats, vegetables are all good choices.

Hi Rajendran – Focus on eating the foods in this category and try to cut back on the overall amount of calories you are consuming. This should help you lose weight.

  6. tanya says:

hw can i loose my belly fat………………………….i do lot of abs exercises but no results………..

    [Reply]

    Tom Reply:

Hey Tanya – The simple answer is to burn more calories than you take in. Abdominal exercises will tone your stomach but they won’t burn fat. To reduce your belly fat you need to reduce the number of calories you are eating (this can be achieved by cutting out processed foods and replacing them with fruits and veggies) and increasing the amount of cardiovascular exercise you do (cycling, running, swimming etc). Hope this helps.
