A good playlist can make or break your workouts with the right track at the right time giving you the motivation to carry on when you feel like giving up. The good news is that putting together an effective workout playlist is very simple. To begin, start writing down your favourite songs and artists. Then once you have a good sized list, start associating the songs and artists with different types of exercise. For example, you may find that you prefer music with a heavier beat while weightlifting and music with a gentler melody when you do cardio. Finally, after you’ve gathered all this information, create a playlist for each type of activity, load the playlists into your MP3 player and you’re good to go.
