About Tom
Hello. My name is Tom Parker. I have a keen interest in health and fitness and have been writing about that very topic on this blog since 2007. I try to keep myself fit and healthy by going to the gym at least four times a week and eating fresh, natural foods most of the time. Whilst I am not an expert on the topic and do not hold any health and fitness qualifications I hope the information on this blog helps you lead a fitter and healthier lifestyle.

Quite a broad question Brian. It depends what your current diet is like. Try and eat real whole foods – fresh fruit, vegetables, meats and fish should all be staples of your diet. As for the exercise if you want to build muscle then you need to do some resistance training. Do some research into weight lifting exercises and then combine them into a weight lifting routine. Mix this up with cardiovascular exercises – running, cycling, swimming. If you keep this up you should build some muscle and burn some fat.
