I've read this same advice in lots of fitness magazines so it seems to be a valid tip. I've read that there's a new product called Capsiplex which use the same ingredients as peppers to boost the metabolism and burn more calories

Very good article. eating spicy food will DEFINATELY 100% give you the following conditions
1. teeth (enamel) erosion
2. regular heart burn over time
3. get sick easily due to the amount of mucous
4. body temperature increase.
5. will lead to other serious problems like cancer.
if your immune system is strong you can not get sick with any disease. make sure you minimise the mucus in your body by eating ALKALI based veg. and fruits. and minimise acid intake.
AVOID spicy food at all cost.
hope this helps

spicy food weakens your mucus membrane.

eating spicy food will DEFINATELY 100% give you the following conditions

1. teeth (enamel) erosion<br

I actually cover this in the article:
“According to Weight Loss Resources some spices can raise your metabolic rate by as much as 50% for up to three hours after consumption.”
To follow up on your second point I do agree with you and briefly cover the negative aspects of consuming too much spicy food in the eight paragraph. Like with most things excessive consumption has negative consequences.
By the way, I’m really glad you are reading and commenting on my blog. However, for future comments could you stop including a link back to your site in the comment itself? Every time you comment your name provides a clickable link back to your website so there is no need to leave another link in the body of the comment itself.
Cheers,
Tom

Hi Usman,

I actually cover this in the article:

“According to Weight Loss Resources some spices can raise your metabolic rate by as much as 50% for up to three hours after consumption.”

To follow up on your second point I do agree with you and briefly cover the negative aspects of consuming too much spicy food in the eight paragraph. However, I think one shouldn't try taking too much spicies as it can contribute to ulcers and stomach/intestine problems. If one doesn't over do it then you should see lots of benefits. One question though...how long does the metabolism remain raised for?
